Ranking Methodology: Ghana’s Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality Awards
At Ghana’s Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality Awards, we are committed to a transparent and thorough ranking methodology that reflects the genuine efforts and impact of organizations in fostering gender equality. Our comprehensive approach considers various factors to ensure a fair assessment.
1. Nomination and Documentation Review:
Companies submit detailed nominations outlining their gender equality initiatives.
Fantein Research and Consulting Ltd validate supporting documents for authenticity and accuracy.
2. Initial Evaluation:
An expert judging panel assesses nominations against predefined criteria for each awards category.
Company names are anonymized during this phase to minimize bias, focusing solely on the merit of gender equality initiatives.
3. Scoring Criteria:
Criteria include leadership commitment, workplace policies, diversity in leadership, community engagement, and innovative practices.
Each criterion is assigned a specific weight based on its importance in advancing gender equality.
4. CEO’s Confidence Index Integration:
CEO’s Confidence Index responses are incorporated into the overall scoring.
Specific weightings are applied to align with relevant awards categories.
5. Weighted Cumulative Scores:
Scores from the nomination evaluation and CEO’s Confidence Index are combined to calculate a weighted cumulative score for each company.
The weighting reflects the significance of the CEO’s commitment in influencing the overall assessment.
6. Validation and External Audit:
Fantein Research and Consulting Ltd validates final rankings to ensure accuracy and transparency.
An external auditing firm may be engaged for additional verification.
7. Top 50 Selection:
Companies with the highest cumulative scores, reflecting excellence in gender equality initiatives and CEO commitment, are recognized in the Top 50.
Rankings are determined across various industries, acknowledging diversity in organizational size and sector.
8. Gender Equality Champion Award:
CEO’s who demonstrate outstanding commitment through the CEO’s Confidence Index may be eligible for the prestigious Gender Equality Champion Award.
9. Appeals Process:
A structured appeals process is in place for companies dissatisfied with the results.
